Eligible species are BIG EYE (Thunnus Obesus), YELLOW FIN (Thunnus Albacores) and BLUE FIN (Thunnus Thynnus). Participants are eligible in two categories, but a competing boat can win in only one category. There will be three available purses (prize money amounts) in each of the two categories. At least 60% of all entry fees collected will be divided into the six prize amounts. Fish must weigh a minimum of 30 pounds each.

LARGEST SINGLE FISH
The winners will be selected based upon the weight of the individual fish weighed.

  • First Place: 50% of Category Pool
  • Second Place: 30% of Category Pool
  • Third Place: 20% of Category Pool

LARGEST AMOUNT OF FISH CAUGHT (In Pounds)
Each participating boat may weigh-in up to 5 fish per day to compete for a two-day total pound catch (Maximum of 10 fish for two days).

  • First Place: 50% of Category Pool
  • Second Place: 30% of Category Pool
  • Third Place: 20% of Category Pool

LARGEST DOLPHIN AWARD

  • First Place: $2500
  • Second Place: $1000
  • Third Place: $500

JUNIOR DIVISION

  • $1,000 will be awarded to the junior angler who catches the largest tuna. Winner will also qualify for the IGFA Junior Angler Championship to be held in Florida. Junior Angler must be 16 years of age or younger.
  • $500 will be awarded to the junior angler who catches the second largest tuna.
  • $250 will be awarded to the junior angler who catches the third largest tuna.

LADIES DIVISION AWARD

  • An award of $1500.00 will be presented to the lady angler which weighs in the largest single tuna. To be eligible you must be signed up at registration and follow tournament guidelines.

ADDED ENTRY: 7 CATEGORIES
After entering the OC Tuna Tournament, those anglers that feel as though they are especially proficient in tuna fishing may enter their boat in the added entry divisions on their perceived skill level. 90% of the entry fees collected will be awarded as follows:

  • **Level A - $250 - DAILY
  • Level B - $500 - WINNER TAKES ALL
  • Level C - $500 - SPLIT 50/30/20
  • Level D - $1000 - SPLIT 50/30/20
  • Level E - $2500 - SPLIT 50/30/20
  • **Level F - $5,000.00 winner take all
  • Level G $200.00 50/50 Split

* 50% goes to Heaviest Tuna caught
* 50% goes to Most Tuna caught
**In the event that no one wins this category all money will be refunded ** Based on two (2) required days fishing - NOT TO INCLUDE THE LAY DAY.
Anglers can enter any or all of the categories.
To enter all 7 skill level categories: $10,000.

1st Place team in Largest Fish Division will receive invitations to compete at the IGFA Offshore Championship.
